We’ll start with an assessment of your current concerns and symptoms, life experience/history, and socio-cultural history to contextualize your experience and help me understand you. This can range from 1-3 sessions. Taking a thorough history is important in building a trusting relationship.

Usually by the second session we are able to get into the specifics of what you’re coming to therapy for.
